As part of GAMA, we open source different parts of our business to better help others in the space. You can find our thesis on how Bitcoin unlocks energy development in Africa, and our designs for a bitcoin mining container that is both suitable for, and can be built in, Africa.

Today we are releasing what is seemingly a very simple document, our SOPs (standard operating procedures) for installing, replacing, repairing, and maintaining miners and our sites in general. Why this document is important is that bitcoin mining is made up of a lot of small things that you need to keep track of and make sure you do properly each time. It’s easier if you have a checklist to go through to make sure you’re taking care of everything.

Your bitcoin mining operation will likely be different than ours, but we hope that this document will get you started, so that you’re not starting from scratch.
